Types Of Scotches
By now, you should already know the differences between the various kinds of Scotch and what does it mean when the bottle says "Single Malt," "Single Grain," "Blended Malt," or "Blended grain," etc. But here's a very easy & quick refresher in case the details went a little blurry.
Scotch Whisky: Whisky manufactured in Scotland.
Single Malt: Manufactured from 100 percent Malted barley, and one bottle contains liquor from a single distillery. (hence the name single)
Blended Malt: Manufactured from 100 percent Malted barley, but one bottle can contain single malt whiskies from different distilleries. (hence the name blended)
Single Grain: Can be manufactured from any grains, including corn, wheat, rye, as well as barley, and one bottle contains liquor from a single distillery.
Blended Grain: Can be manufactured from any grains, including corn, wheat, rye, as well as barley, but one bottle can contain single grain whiskies from different distilleries.

Before we share our top picks, it is of immense importance that we give out a disclaimer that there's no fixed list of "the best scotches" because all the drinks keep evolving and changing ever so often that the ratings fluctuate quicker than the blink of an eye. But here are our all-time favorites anyway!
1. Lagavulin
Honestly, if you were surprised to see this name here, you have a lot to catch up on about the world of scotch whiskies. Lagavulin is synonymous with Scotch, and whenever the discussion revolves around premium liquor, It doesn't really end unless it is mentioned and appreciated.
This Islay region Scotch is one of the finest Single Malts you would come across, and if you haven't tried it yet, you must absolutely sip on the 16-year statement, which is (rightfully) considered it's best expression so far!
2. The GlenDronach Revival
Public demand of the signature GlenDronach smoothness and dark fruity and chocolatey essence compelled them to revive their distillery after halting production in 2015. And what a comeback it has made!
Aged for 15 years, This Highland Scotch is yet another fine Single Malt that comes second to none when it comes to its distinctive finish you cannot get out of your mind. The 15-year aged bottle is the one you must go for!
3. Johnnie Walker
Yet another insanely famous name that shouldn't surprise you in the best scotches ever list. Even though Johnnie Walker is already a well-established brand with every variety immensely flavorful and characteristic, the one Scotch you need to try is the Green Label!
Green Label is a Blended Grain Whisky that Walker relaunched in 2016 due to the never-ceasing demand for its incredibly rich feel and hearty flavor. Aged for 15 years, this smoky and fragrant scotch whisky is to die for!
